On your first chiropractic visit, expect to be seeing the doctor for about one hour. If you are scheduling a visit because of a motor vehicle accident or work injury, you will need 80 minutes with the doctor. Follow-up visits typically only take between 10-20 minutes.
The First Appointment Towards Recovery!
During the first visit, you will undergo a clinical exam, a consultation, and x-rays if needed. Some patients like to wear comfortable clothing so they can move more freely during the initial exam, but it isn't required. You will also be asked to fill out our patient intake forms available online or in our clinic if you prefer.
For these forms, you’ll be asked to provide information on family medical history, any pre-existing medical conditions, and any current symptoms you may be experiencing.

After your consultation, the doctor will perform a complete chiropractic examination and will test your reflexes and flexibility and check your range of motion. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as needed as well.
Once we have developed a clear picture of your case, we’ll design a personalized plan for treatment. This will generally include chiropractic adjustments in some form as well as soft tissue therapy and rehab exercises with massage therapy. If applicable, we will also order diagnostic imaging, facilitate a specialist referral and discuss treatment options.
